ORLANDO, FL - November, 2000 - Frank Santos, Chief Financial
Officer, for Rosen Hotels & Resorts was presented with the Hospitality
Financial and Technology Professionals (HFTP) Paragon Award on October
20 at their annual convention in Toronto.
The Paragon Award was created to recognize individuals who have made
a
significant and lasting contribution to both the HFTP and the hospitality
industry.
To be selected for the award, an individual must first be nominated
by someone who has worked or is familiar with the nominated individual's
work in HFTP over a significant period of time. That nomination must
then be seconded and accompanied by three supporting letters of recommendation.
Santos' involvement in HFTP spans three decades,
and includes top
leadership at both chapter and international levels. Santos was
President of HFTP from 1987-88. His accomplishments have included:
chairing the 1987 HITEC which broke all previous records for booth and
attendance, first association chief elected officer to speak to the Board
of Directors of the AH&MA, HFTP's first appointee to the AH&MA
Research Foundation.

associates and manages approximately 5,000 rooms at six of their Central
Florida hotels. The company is currently planning their seventh location,
which will be a destination resort featuring 18 holes of golf, a full array
of amenities and over 250,000 square feet of public space on a site not
yet determined.
