Briefing at 2001 Orlando HITEC Show; 
HITEC Selects Chicago, Ill. at McCormick Place for 2002 Show
AUSTIN, TEXAS, January 24, 2001 � Hospitality Financial and Technology Professionals (HFTP®), in conjunction with the Hospitality Sales & Marketing Association International (HSMAI), are offering a unique opportunity for executives via the Sales & Marketing Briefing on Monday, June 25, from 1:00-5:00 p.m. The briefing is a Hospitality Industry Technology Exposition and Conference (HITEC®) preconference seminar and will be held at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Fla. 
 
The Sales & Marketing Briefing aims to inform sales and marketing professionals in hospitality organizations of the latest in technology developments and industry trends that will affect sales and marketing in the next year.  The briefing covers topics regarding developments, issues and opportunities that will provide insight to strategically manage future sales, marketing and customer initiatives.

HITEC 2001, produced by Hospitality Financial and Technology Professionals, is June 26 � 28 at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Fla.  It is the largest and most comprehensive showcase of hospitality technology in the world. HITEC 2001 is expected to attract over 6,000 attendees. The exposition will host over 300 vendors in more than 750 booths, covering every facet of hospitality technology � from accounting software to central reservation systems to telecommunications.  

HSMAI is the leading organization of sales and marketing professionals representing all segments of the hospitality industry.  With a strong focus on education, HSMAI has become the industry leader in identifying and communicating trends in the hospitality industry while operating as a leading voice for both hospitality and sales and marketing management disciplines.  Founed in 1927, HSMAI is an individual membership organization comprised of over 5,000 members representing 76 chapters in 35 countries worldwide. 

Based in Austin, Texas, HFTP® is the professional association for financial and IT personnel working in hotels, resorts, clubs, casinos, restaurants and other hospitality-related businesses. HFTP Conference Locations and Dates Set for 2002  

AUSTIN, TEXAS, January 18, 2001 � Hospitality Financial and Technology Professionals (HFTP®) has scheduled the 2002 locations and dates for the Hospitality Industry Technology Exposition and Conference (HITEC®) and the HFTP Annual Convention & Tradeshow. In 2002, HITEC will be held in Chicago, Ill. at McCormick Place on June 25�27, and the HFTP Annual Convention & Tradeshow will be held in Austin, Texas at the Renaissance Hotel on October 23�26. 

HITEC is the largest and most comprehensive showcase of hospitality technology in the world. The exposition will host vendors from around the world and cover every facet of hospitality technology � from accounting software to central reservation systems to telecommunications. 

HITEC attendees include presidents; owners; general managers; CIOs; IT directors; CFOs; vice presidents of finance, operations and information services; front office and reservations managers; sales and marketing managers; and food and beverage managers. Attendees have the opportunity to gather new ideas and find ways to increase their operating efficiency at the world�s largest hospitality technology conference. Live demonstrations of the latest in hospitality technology equipment, products and services allow them to compare cost and quality. 

The Annual Convention & Tradeshow provides a forum for sharing knowledge and information with others in the hospitality industry.  Attendees participate in a variety of informative education sessions and social events, which provide opportunities for networking and learning about the newest products, industry trends, training and consulting services, business opportunities and more.
