Charlottesville, Virginia (August 2, 2016) – Regatta Travel Solutions announced today that the Virginia Beach Convention & Visitors Bureau has selected Regatta Travel Solutions to power the booking engine on their official destination website, VisitVirginiaBeach.com. Regatta allows visitors to the destination website to book hotels, attractions and packages on the destination’s official website.

“We are already impressed with the amount of personal involvement on behalf of the Regatta team,” said Kelli Norman, Director of Tourism Marketing and Sales for the Virginia Beach Convention & Visitors Bureau. “We finally have a solution that will provide us with the data and performance tracking that we need as an organization to understand what visitors to our website are booking, and that will give us the ability to market to them in the future. Our hotels, vacation rentals and attractions will all benefit greatly from this comprehensive online reservations system. We had both hotel and attraction bookings within hours after launch.”

“Virginia Beach is going to be a marquis project for us as company,” said Ashwin Kamlani, Founder of Regatta Travel Solutions. “We have learned a lot over the last seven years about what our Destination Marketing Organization (DMO) clients need in a booking solution, what their members and partners are hoping to get out of it, and how to attract and serve potential visitors to the destination so that they are not only satisfied with the DMO’s online booking engine but impressed with it. With such a wide variety of hotels, vacation rentals and attractions to offer, this project is going to be a culmination of everything we have built thus far.”

Regatta Travel Solutions now powers the booking engines for more than 45 DMOs worldwide. The Company’s booking engine technology is so advanced, that is it even used by major hotel chains to power their own websites.
