March 10, 2015 (TORONTO) – Luxury lifestyle hotel Thompson Toronto is pleased to announce the appointment of Chef Kevin Sinclair. A Le Cordon Bleu alum, Chef Sinclair brings international expertise and experience to his new role, having worked at such notable and renowned dining establishments as Hotel Plaza Athénée (Paris) and Fabbrica (Toronto). Most recently, he served as Executive Chef of Marfraing Group in Paris, where he oversaw culinary operations of its two restaurant locations.

Chef Sinclair and his team at Thompson Toronto will continue to elevate the hotel’s culinary offerings, producing avant-garde fare for its array of venues, including The Lobby Bar, Thompson Diner, Screening Room, Rooftop Lounge, and its ballroom and catering facilities.

Sinclair completed much of his education, including his Red Seal Certification, in Ontario, Canada where he grew up. While there, he was hired to work at Fabbrica, collaborating with one of Canada’s top restauranteurs to develop new menus and recipes. Following his experiences in Ontario, Sinclair traveled across the Atlantic to work at some of France’s top dining establishments. While in Paris at Hotel Plaza Athenee, Sinclair worked under world-renowned chef Alain Ducasse and was instrumental in ensuring five-star quality with his commitment to avant-garde cooking techniques, including sous vide and molecular gastronomy.
