Portland, Maine – The Olympia Companies will manage The Inn at Swarthmore, a state-of-the-art hotel that is currently being built by Swarthmore College in Pennsylvania, just 11 miles outside of Philadelphia.

"We are delighted to have Olympia on board as our partner to manage the Inn at Swarthmore," says Vice President for Finance and Administration Greg Brown. "They truly understand us as an institution and how the inn and conference facilities fit into our strategic vision. Based on their work at other campus-based hotel properties, we are confident that they will create a welcoming environment for hotel guests and community members."

The Inn at Swarthmore will offer 40 guestrooms and suites, a signature restaurant, private dining and flexible meeting space to accommodate groups and social events. The Inn at Swarthmore is located on the College’s idyllic, 425-acre arboretum campus, which features rolling lawns, a creek, wooded hills, and hiking trails, a short train ride from center city Philadelphia.

“We’re honored to be chosen as the manager of this exceptional new property,” said Kevin Mahaney, president and CEO of The Olympia Companies. “It aligns with our approach to the campus hospitality market, which is to work with a college or university to create a seamless connection from campus-to-lodging for visitors.”

The Inn at Swarthmore is designed to meet high environmental standards, demonstrating the college’s commitment to architectural style and sustainability. The public spaces will be a showcase for art created by Swarthmore alumni and each guestroom will feature a piece of student artwork.

The restaurant, Broad Table Tavern, will offer seasonally inspired menus showcasing locally sourced ingredients and regional artisan products. The Inn at Swarthmore will offer nearly 3,500 sq. ft. of meeting and event space. The venues will be equipped with state-of-the-art audio visual technology and flexible floor plans to accommodate group meetings and social occasions for up to 150 guests. During warmer months, the Inn’s private courtyard will be utilized and tented for receptions and dinners.

Adjoining the Inn’s lobby will be the new Swarthmore Campus & Community Store, which will offer an array of Swarthmore College merchandise, books, and locally produced fair trade gifts.
