Sage Hospitality names Kara Akers Associate Director of Sales at The Oxford Hotel & The Crawford Hotel

Denver, Colo. (June 28, 2016) – Denver’s Sage Hospitality, one of the nation’s top hotel investment and management companies, is pleased to announce that it has named Kara Akers the Associated Director of Sales at The Oxford Hotel and The Crawford Hotel.
With more than 12 years of hospitality sales experience, Akers most recently served as a Sales Manager at The Four Seasons Denver. She previously served as a Group Sales Manager at The Ritz-Carlton Bachelor Gulch. Akers holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Colorado, Boulder and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Colorado, Denver.
Akers will be focused on developing the business travel and group sales segments for both award-winning hotels, including national and international markets.
“Kara has extensive luxury sales experience at top international brands and we are thrilled to have her on our team,” said Todd Iseri, the Regional Director of Sales & Marketing overseeing both hotels.
The Crawford Hotel is an independent hotel located inside the historic Denver Union Station, which opened in July 2014 after a dramatic $54 million renovation. The Crawford features 112 luxuriously appointed guest rooms in three styles and unparalleled access to Denver Union Station’s eclectic mix of Colorado restaurants and retailers, including Mercantile Dining & Provision and Stoic & Genuine.
Originally opened in 1891, The Oxford Hotel offers 80 individually decorated guest rooms, each with classic features such as claw foot bathtubs, floor-to-ceiling Chinese silk curtains and French and English antiques. The hotel houses an extensive collection of Western American art and Denver’s quintessential Art Deco martini bar, the Cruise Room.
Both hotels offer access to The Oxford Club, Spa & Salon, a full service day spa, hair salon and fitness center.
