NEW YORK, NY- May 3, 2016 – Olshan Properties, one of the country’s leading private owners, developers and operators of commercial real estate today announced plans to embark on the highly anticipated, $40 million transformation of its Hilton Marco Island Beach Resort & Spa in Marco Island, Florida. In order to expedite the project schedule and assure the grand reopening in the fall, the Resort will temporarily close its doors in June.

Commented Andrea Olshan, CEO of Olshan Properties which developed, owns and operates the Hilton Marco Island Beach Resort & Spa, “When my father, Mort Olshan, developed the Hilton Marco Island Beach Resort & Spa in 1985 he did so with a vision of an exceptional resort in an irreplaceable location that would become dear to generations of travelers. Year after year, we have dedicated ourselves to this goal, most recently in 2012 undertaking a $9 million renovation and redecoration of the property’s guest rooms. Today Olshan Properties is thrilled to bring to life our latest vision for the Resort embodied in a broad-reaching transformation that reimagines the Hilton Marco Island as the resort of first choice for all those seeking luxury accommodations, unsurpassed amenities and a warm welcome on Florida’s Gulf Coast.”

Set on 10,000 SF of beach front property at one of the most coveted Florida Gulf Coast destinations, the Hilton Marco Island Beach Resort & Spa is a luxury, AAA 4-Diamond, boutique-style resort. Seeking to take full advantage of its idyllic landscape, Olshan Properties will focus on enhancing the breathtaking views throughout the property’s common areas. Upon entering the Resort, guests will be greeted by a dramatic floor to ceiling picture window on the Gulf of Mexico dominating a gleaming new entryway, lobby, concierge, bell desk and reception area.

Marco Island’s vistas will also be a focal point of the Resort’s new restaurant where casual yet elegant atmosphere and unobstructed Gulf-view outdoor seating will be the pride of Marco Island dining. Catering to guests who prefer a less structured dining experience, the Resort will also introduce Hilton’s popular “Herb N Kitchen” gourmet marketplace and add a new indoor/outdoor bar for casual drinks at the pool or a chic cocktail before dinner. Both new restaurants will replace the Resort’s current dining options.

Among the many other impressive transformations will be a completely reimagined 11th floor Penthouse level that will incorporate sixteen brand new one- and two-bedroom suites. On the ground floor level, the Resort will introduce seven newly developed lanai Junior Suites featuring private lounges and direct pool access. Thanks to these exciting guest room additions the Resort’s key count will increase to 310.

Groups hosting and attending events at the Resort will enjoy the upgraded and remodeled 12,000 SF of meeting space, including new rooms for smaller functions or breakout sessions along with upgraded adjacent patios to accommodate indoor/outdoor pre- or post-function options. All will be enhanced by seamless high speed Internet designed with large numbers of simultaneous users in mind. Groups will also appreciate new meeting room digital signage and benefit from the Resort’s expanded and remodeled restaurant and catering kitchen.

For those seeking picturesque outdoor space for receptions and weddings the Resort grounds will feature a new event lawn on the south side with an unobstructed view of the Gulf of Mexico. The main pool area will be enhanced with the addition of a children’s water feature as well as a hot tub and new lounge seating on the upper deck.

“Olshan Properties’ masterful vision for the Hilton Marco Island Beach Resort & Spa will bring it a tasteful, more contemporary atmosphere which will blend seamlessly with the intimate boutique feel and personalized service standards for which we stand apart on Marco Island,” said Mac Chaudhry, General Manager of the Hilton Marco Island Beach Resort & Spa. “The entire team here can’t wait to introduce our guests to all the wonderful changes awaiting them on their next holiday with us.”
