New York, NY – August 29, 2016 – TTI Technologies, a supplier of ID/Passport Scanners, Business Centers, Lobby Tablets, Hotel Information Boards, announced today that it has the answer to the business centers of yester year, says Steve Blidner, TTI CEO, “Yesterday’s business centers were designed for the days when travelers were not equipped with all types of hand held smart devices. Today many decisions are processed by smart phones and tablets of all kinds.” The modernized business center by TTI Technologies understands that and has created an environment that supports and in many cases enhances the applications used by personal smart devices.

“Our hotels asked and we listened”, says Blidner, to provide a new look at alternatives to the traditional Business Center and other ways to meet the technology needs of their guests. “We have been providing Hospitality Technology since 1991 and embrace the advent of tablets, cell phones and all the devices that have changed our daily work life” said Blidner. “We’ve released new solutions that focus in on what guests still want out of business centers, such as boarding pass printing and support for business presentations, while allowing the hotel to promote their amenities, services, and partners.” Below are some recent installations.

WEB CUBES The Charles Hotel in Cambridge had us set up 20″ TOUCH SCREEN PCS on each floor in a small space with a door by the elevators. The PCs are mounted on VESA mounts and have a shelf underneath. They do not have a Keyboard or Mouse.

TECH BAR Some hotels have added Tech Bars in an area of the lobby by the bar so that guests can access email and social networks while having a cocktail or snack with friends. The Tysons Corner Marriott uses TTI’s Macbook Pro Retina with our Free to Guest software but no printing ability. In use for two years and the guests love it. The goal is to allow guests to socialize and enjoy the lobby.

TECH PODS At a number of Ritz Carltons we were asked to provide Tech Pods that included 23″ VESA mounted All in One computers and were placed in what were previously phone booths with doors. This provided their customers with a private place to do work or have a Skype conference call in private. The booths have a shelf that can hold a wired keyboard and mouse and underneath is a small monochrome laser printer. The computers have web cams and because of the privacy of the Pod with a door (glass window that is stenciled with Tech Pod) Guests can work and have Skype meeting in confidence.

TTI also provides Tablets that are used in Club Lounges and a number of hotels often include a small footprint wireless printer

“Be an Innovator”, says Blidner. “Kiosks can be implemented anywhere on property. Creative hotels can now enhance the guest experience by placing kiosks or tablets in guest lounges.”

Concerned about a secure business center network? TTI’s proprietary security software protects the computer and guest-users' privacy. Today’s business center also runs on iMacs and even can be Dual Booted from the Desktop.

“The basement business center is history; welcome to the new modernized, flexible and secure Guest Facing Technology Center” Blidner said. In its place is a newly created experience for the guest that includes:

  • decorative tablet kiosks that can be positioned anywhere in the lobby
  • separate stations for boarding pass retrieval only (for the guests in a hurry)
  • flight status display boards of all local airports
