MIAMI (February 4, 2016) – Karisma Hotels & Resorts, an award-winning luxury hotel collection which owns and manages properties in Latin America, the Caribbean and Europe, is pleased to announce the appointment of Heather Krasnow to Director of Marketing. In her new role, Krasnow oversees advertising, marketing, public relations, social media and partnerships across each one of its brands, including El Dorado Spa Resorts & Hotels, Azul Hotels & Villas, Generations Resorts, Allure Hotels, and the new Nickelodeon Hotels & Resorts.

Krasnow is an accomplished marketing strategist with more than two decades of experience working with an array of national and international hospitality, consumer and lifestyle brands. Her experience is heavily steeped in high-level public relations, crisis management, social media and integrated marketing.

“I am thrilled to join the Karisma team at such an exciting and significant period for the company,” said Krasnow. “This will be a monumental year for Karisma Hotels & Resorts with the opening of Nickelodeon Hotels & Resorts Punta Cana and so many other major initiatives and milestones. The company culture promotes strategic yet out-of-the-box thinking and I’m eager to build upon Karisma’s incredible industry partnerships, relationships with influencers, social media programs, multi-faceted marketing campaigns and everything in between.”

Previously, Krasnow served as director of marketing for Resorts World, a subsidiary of The Genting Group – the world’s largest casino gaming company – where she was responsible for overseeing the brand image and reputation of Resorts World Miami, Resorts World Bimini and Bimini SuperFast. Before that, she ran her own marketing and public relations consultancy, HK Media, where she strategized for a number of high-profile companies including Voyages to Antiquity, The Homestead Company and Rave Reviews Culinary Spirits. Krasnow was also the public relations practice head for Starmark International, an award-winning integrated marketing agency based in Fort Lauderdale.

The expansion of Karisma’s executive leadership team comes in the wake of its recently revealed global expansion plans to own and operate 30 resorts around the world by 2020. Most recently, the company unveiled the new El Dorado Seaside Suites in Mexico’s Riviera Maya, and announced plans for Nickelodeon Hotels & Resorts Punta Cana, Nickelodeon’s first-ever international hotel property, opening in May 2016.
