MIAMI (May 17, 2016) – Karisma Hotels & Resorts and Viacom International Media Networks (VIMN) a division of Viacom Inc. (NASDAQ:VIAB and VIA), are pleased to introduce Nickelodeon Hotels & Resorts Riviera Maya.  Nickelodeon Hotels & Resorts Riviera Maya is the second property in the luxurious collection of five-star experiential resorts, and will follow the highly-anticipated opening of Nickelodeon Hotels & Resorts Punta Cana this summer.   Slated to open in December 2017, Nickelodeon Hotels & Resorts Riviera Maya will deliver non-stop family entertainment and Karisma’s renowned Gourmet Inclusive® Experience. 

The new property – featuring 288 spacious swim-up and infinity suites, each with its own pool on a private terrace or balcony – will be located on a secluded white-sand beach facing Mexico’s stunning Caribbean Sea.  Nickelodeon Hotels & Resorts Riviera Maya will reimagine the art of hospitality to deliver delightful twists including surprise Slimings and unexpected visits from your favorite Nickelodeon characters.  Combined with world-class dining, contemporary design, innovative amenities and access to neighboring Karisma Hotels & Resorts properties, Nickelodeon Hotels & Resorts Riviera Maya will offer an unforgettable getaway for Nickelodeon fans and luxe resort lovers alike.

Casual luxury is the focal point of the property’s grand lobby, restaurants, bars, spa and two main six-story buildings – all set between lush indigenous mangroves, palm trees, and a white-sand beach.  The first floors of both main buildings will be comprised of swim-up suites that boast direct access to swimming pools and swim-up bars, while floors two through six will host the infinity pool suites with unobstructed ocean views. 

Nickelodeon Hotels & Resorts Riviera Maya’s accommodations will be as stylish as they are spacious with one-, two-, and three-bedroom suites, each featuring shared living spaces and private pools.  Twenty four hour room service, and amenities like complimentary baby food, strollers, and cribs will ensure vacations are luxurious and carefree. 

As a part of Nickelodeon Hotels & Resorts, the Riviera Maya property will provide entertainment for all guests within Nickelodeon Place™.  The heart of the resort, Nickelodeon Place will include Just Kiddin’, a hangout for kids; Character Central where guests can meet Dora the Explorer, SpongeBob SquarePants and The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles; and more: water features; and a kid’s spa.  Nickelodeon Hotels & Resorts Riviera Maya will also feature Studio Nick, a theater for hosting an array of immersive entertainment experiences.

Nickelodeon Hotels & Resorts Riviera Maya will deliver the award-winning Gourmet Inclusive® Experience, ideal for guests who value quality.  Dining will be an art and a pleasure at six Gourmet Inclusive® restaurants including two oceanfront eateries, four bars and lounges, and a one-of-a-kind food truck experience that will present a half-dozen fun and casual culinary options to be enjoyed while seated or as a part of an outdoor picnic.  The property will also feature an array of innovative food and beverage options at themed restaurants that reflect the brand with unexpected colors, imaginative food samples, and Slime Smoothies.   A majority of the resort’s organic produce will be sourced from Karisma’s 75,000-square-foot Greenhouse located next door.

Additionally, Nickelodeon Spa-ahh will beckon with relaxation.  Guests will have the opportunity to experience signature treatments within individual suites, couple’s suite, a luxurious bridal suite, or “al fresco” outdoor treatment areas for those craving a little sand with their spa. 

For guests celebrating a special occasion, Nickelodeon Hotels & Resorts Riviera Maya will offer fully themed party options inclusive of character meet & greets, game play, specialty food & beverage and more.   Karisma is renowned for its exquisite Gourmet Inclusive® Wedding Events, and the Nickelodeon Hotels & Resorts Riviera Maya will be no exception.  Couples will be presented with an array of romantic options for their wedding events, including a Beachfront gazebo and signature Sky Wedding location featuring stunning 360-degree views from the private rooftop terrace.  And if a couple’s wedding day just won’t be complete without someone getting Slimed, the resort is happy to hook them up!

Nickelodeon Hotels & Resorts Riviera Maya will begin accepting reservations in early 2017 for stays starting in December 2017.
