The launch will be Intelity’s first implementation of its ICE guest service technology in Vietnam and at a casino property.

HO TRAM, Vietnam and ORLANDO, Fla., June 25, 2013 -The Grand Ho Tram Strip, the first large-scale, integrated luxury resort and entertainment destination in Vietnam, will feature Intelity’s ICE guest services platform.

The installation in the resort’s 541 guest rooms and suites will mark several achievements for one of the dominant companies in hospitality technology – first launch in a casino hotel, first partnership with a Vietnamese hotel, and the first installation of the ICEbox, Intelity’s new hotel TV solution with technology partner Enseo.

All of the guest services and resort information at The Grand Ho Tram Strip will be accessible to guests on in-room TVs with the recently unveiled ICEbox for TV. ICEbox combines an Enseo set-top box with the ICE software, presenting a hotel-branded welcome page, interactive program guide (IPG) and services on the screen. Guests will have the ability to place orders directly through the TV.

Suites at The Grand Ho Tram Strip will also provide access to guest services with ICE on iPads, allowing them to make requests to staff, place orders for purchases, access the Internet, and view information about the resort and local attractions. What’s more, guests can use ICE to manipulate the guestroom environment with room controls that allow them to perform functions such as opening the curtains or turning on or off lights with the touch of a finger on the iPad.

Even before guests arrive for check-in, they can download The Grand Ho Tram Strip’s ICE application onto personal smartphones and tablets (iOS or Android) or laptops. Using the application on any of these devices, guests will be able to instantly communicate with hotel staff and make requests for services, including housekeeping and wake-up calls, from any location. After leaving, the resort can still communicate with the guest via ICE to keep them updated on special events, promotions or resort news.

As an added benefit, ICE includes a unique, hotel-facing management system that will integrate at The Grand Ho Tram Strip with three Cenium management systems, PMS, POS and Ticketing, for seamless operation. Guest data, requests and general business analytics are stored in this back-end system, called the ICE Control System (ICS), to provide performance metrics. Staff can also use the ICS to change the application’s content and send targeted marketing messages or notifications to guests with filters such as rate code.

Intelity President and CEO David Adelson said, “We are enthusiastic to enter into this partnership with one of the premier new properties in Asia. The Grand Ho Tram Strip will be the first casino resort ever to leverage the ICE platform to connect with guests before, during and after their stay, as well as deliver the highest quality of service. The resort will showcase how modern convenience can merge with traditional luxury for a superior guest experience.”

The Grand Ho Tram Strip is scheduled to open at the end of July.
