InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG®) and Pointcorp, have signed a management agreement for a new build Hotel Indigo, to be located in Brisbane’s cultural and creative heartbeat – Fortitude Valley. The 140-room hotel on 458 Brunswick Street is the first Hotel Indigo signing for Australia and New Zealand and is due to open in 2020.

Hotel Indigo is IHG’s lifestyle boutique hotel offering. No two Hotel Indigo properties are alike as each is designed to reflect the culture, history and heritage of its local neighbourhood. From the building’s design to the hotel’s artwork and locally-inspired menus, guests can look forward to an intimate boutique hotel experience with the international standards promised by a global hotel company.

Hotel Indigo Brisbane Fortitude Valley will bring to life the unique vibe of the Valley – home to the city’s cultural, creative, music, fashion and gastronomy scene. This ideal location on Brunswick Street will allow guests to explore the many art galleries, laneway restaurants and boutique stores during their stay in addition to the Valley’s famous nightclubs and live music venues.

Hotel Indigo Brisbane Fortitude Valley will be part of a mixed-use development which will include residences, commercial office and retail, it is expected to be the first development of its kind in the area, creating a new epicentre for The Valley.

IHG currently has 26 hotels operating under four brands in Australia: InterContinental, Crowne Plaza, Holiday Inn and Holiday Inn Express.

Launched in 2004, Hotel Indigo is the world’s first globally branded boutique hotel brand. There are 72 Hotel Indigo properties (8,500 rooms) globally with 68 hotels (9,700 rooms) in the pipeline. Hotel Indigo launched in Asia Pacific in January 2015 with the opening of Hotel Indigo Bangkok Wireless Road, Thailand, followed by the opening of Hotel Indigo Singapore Katong, Singapore in June 2016. In 2017, Hotel Indigo Bali Seminyak Beach will open.
