SAO PAULO and MCLEAN, Va. – September 10, 2015 – Hilton Worldwide announced the appointment of David Ecija as general manager of the 503-room Hilton São Paulo Morumbi. Already on board in São Paulo, Ecija will oversee the operations and lead the management team at this award-winning hotel.

With 20 years of hospitality experience, 15 of which have been with Hilton, Ecija most recently acted as cluster general manager of Hilton Sukhumvit and DoubleTree by Hilton Sukhumvit. Prior to successfully managing these two hotels in a dynamic economic environment, Ecija served in a number of general manager and operations management positions with Hilton throughout Europe, including general manager roles at Hilton Vilamoura Golf & Spa Resort and Hilton Madrid Airport, among others.

Ecija holds a Hotel Management Degree from Polytechnic University in Madrid, Spain and speaks four languages: English, Spanish, Portuguese and French.
