LONG BEACH, Calif. and MCLEAN, Va. – Hilton (NYSE: HLT) today announced the opening of its newest hotel, the dual-branded Hampton Inn by Hilton Long Beach Airport and Homewood Suites by Hilton Long Beach Airport bringing a total of 241 new rooms to the beautiful Long Beach area. The dual-brand hotel enters a market that saw its strongest year since 2008 as the city reported an estimated $300 million economic impact by overnight visitors in the last recorded year*.

"Southern California has presented a prime opportunity for expansion, coming on the heels of a record-breaking year for Long Beach tourism in 2016*," said Jef Fazzio-Lawrence, general manager of Hampton Inn by Hilton Long Beach Airport. "This dual-branded Hampton Inn and Homewood Suites by Hilton, located in a prime area of Southern California, diversifies our presence in the market while providing travelers comfortable and value-driven options."

Developed and owned by Nexus Development and managed by Evolution Hospitality, Hampton Inn by Hilton Long Beach Airport and Homewood Suites by Hilton Long Beach Airport are both located at 3771 N. Lakewood Blvd., offering guests convenient access to Long Beach Airport and Douglas Park, where companies such as Boeing, Gulf Stream, Mercedes-Benz and other corporations have offices. In addition, the dual-brand hotel is close to I-405, beautiful beaches and SoCal attractions such as the StubHub Center and amusement parks. A complimentary shuttle service to LGB Airport and Douglas Park is also available.

The dual-brand concept creates enhanced and larger communal areas than what would be standard at a stand-alone property, benefiting both business and leisure travelers. The hotel has two distinct dining areas – each catering to the needs of their respective guests – as well as a shared 24-hour fitness center, putting green, grill area and outdoor heated pool for guests to unwind. The property also offers flexible space that is ideal for meetings and social events.

"With almost six miles of beautiful oceanfront and an up-and-coming business district that is home to major corporations, Long Beach encompasses the charisma of a quaint seaside community alongside the sophistication of a bustling urban environment," said R.J. Escobedo, general manager of Homewood Suites by Hilton Long Beach Airport. "Our hotel is a new extended-stay option that guarantees convenience, comfort and value-added incentives for all types of travelers, whether traveling to the region for business or leisure."
