SYRACUSE, N.Y. October 18, 2017—DoubleTree by Hilton Syracuse, a 250-room hotel in Carrier Circle, announced that Kevin Connolly has been promoted to director of sales and marketing. DoubleTree by Hilton Syracuse General Manager Thomas Olsen made the announcement.

In this role, Connolly will work closely with the finance, sales and revenue management teams, and be responsible for developing and implementing procedures and strategies that support the hotel’s guest relations and profitability goals.

“Kevin has the drive and industry experience that we were looking for when vetting individuals for this management position,” said Olsen. “His vast knowledge of the DoubleTree by Hilton Syracuse brand, coupled with his ability to successfully utilize data and market research, makes him the best candidate for this position.”

Connolly previously served as the manager of business travel at DoubleTree by Hilton Syracuse, where he was responsible for managing Corporate Preferred Travel Programs and Consortia with a focus on increasing the volume of business accounts. Prior to that, he held several other positions, including vice president of global sales and account management at The Travel Team, Inc., corporate business development and Ithaca branch operations manager with AAA Western and Central New York, and sales manager for Syracuse.com and sever airlines.

Connolly graduated from Syracuse University in 1987 with a bachelor degree in advertising and volunteers with JDRF International, a global organization focused on ending type 1 diabetes. Connolly is also an active member of Leadership Greater Syracuse.
