AtlantaDigital Signage Expo (DSE), the world’s largest international trade show and educational conference dedicated to digital displays, interactive technology and digital communications networks will present new educational opportunities designed specifically for hotel operators system administrators and technologists March 27-29, 2018, at the Las Vegas Convention Center.

The seminar programs are part of DSE’s Educational Conference designed to help attendees learn about the newest technologies available, how successful digital signage strategies are being implemented, and how to best take advantage of them to strengthen guest relationships through proactive engagement in a variety of applications.

Topics to be presented include:

  • Thursday, March 29, 9 a.m., Seminar S17 entitled, “How to Accurately Measure Digital Signage ROI,” to be presented by Richard Ventura, Vice President of Strategy for NEC Display Solutions, will look at stages in creating a financial analysis of a digital signage solution as well as what tools will be needed in order to best understand and analyze the findings.
  • Thursday, March 29, 9 a.m., Seminar S18 entitled, “Backbone of a Successful Digital Signage Project: Choosing the Right CMS,” will be a panel discussion that will examine the differences in CMS packages and the factors that determine choosing the right package.
  • Thursday, March 29, 9 a.m., Seminar S23 entitled, “Stop Creating Content: Leveraging Existing Communication Avenues for Your Digital Signage Network,” to be co-presented by Ron Santana, Director of Digital Media Services for Towson University, and Stephen Stavar, Digital Signage Specialist for West Virginia University, will explore some of the existing locations where there is hidden content for your visual communications network.
  • Thursday, March 29, 11:00 a.m., On-floor Workshop BP8 entitled, “Hackers Love Your Screens Too,” to be presented by Jody Smith, Product Manager for Broadsign, will explore why security is such a hot topic for digital signage, the three security layers hackers can use to breach your network, and effective ways to protect your network from attacks.
  • Thursday, March 29, 12:30 p.m., On-Floor Workshop BP10 entitled, “Software is Changing the World of Video-over-IP: Video Walls and Digital Signage Will Never Be the Same,” to be presented by Tim Griffin, Chief Technology Officer at Userful, will provide real-world examples of how multiple new technology innovations have affected the AV and digital signage space.
  • Thursday, March 29, 2:00 p.m., Seminar S29 entitled, “How to Create Excellent RFIs and RFPs,” will explore the RFI/RFP process, including steps in the process and actions that should be taken before entering into an RFP, the basic parts of an RFP and how to tailor the RFP to your needs.
  • Thursday, March 29, 2:45 p.m., On-Floor Workshop BP13 entitled, “Don’t be a News Story – IoT Security Principles as applied to Digital Signage,” will explore how to start without unreasonable burden and how you can simplify the process to make it digestible.
