BANGKOK, THAILAND, Oct. 23, 2015 – Centara Hotels & Resorts is facing the demands of a successful and international brand that is experiencing significant growth. In order to be most effective in today’s market while looking to the future, Centara is pleased to announce a number of organizational changes and appointments to best ensure the company is well prepared to build on its already excellent performance. This restructuring is designed to allow for a more comprehensive focus into all areas of the company’s operations including the key feeder and destination markets, the brand portfolio and the marketing and sales functions.

With a growing property portfolio and specific brand needs for each market, four group directors of operations, who will focus on individual brands and properties, have been appointed to allow for concentration on strategic focus areas for Centara’s product offerings and services.

Centara is proud to announce the promotion of Austin Robinson – group director of operations for East Thailand and Vietnam, Harry Thaliwal – group director of operations for South Thailand, Sri Lanka, Bali and COSI brand and Robert Maurer-Loeffler – group director of operations for Bangkok and City Hotels. Joining the Centara team is Kamal Chaoui – group director of operations for Premium Resorts.

Vice President of Operations David Good, who will work with the four directors, said, “Our guests are our motivation for adding these roles. We are always looking for opportunities to improve and want to ensure we deliver exceptional service to our guests.”

Given Centara’s growth and the resulting restructuring, the previous role of vice president of sales and marketing has been divided in order to allow for individual attention to each portfolio. The vice president of brand, marketing & digital and the vice president of sales will be announced shortly.

“It is vital for the continued success of Centara that we focus on our future endeavours and be innovative and creative in our approach to ensure that our strategies fit the requirements of our rapidly expanding company,” said Chris Bailey, COO of Centara Hotels & Resorts. “With a more focused attention to the principal functions of our business, we will be able to provide even better service and experiences for our guests as well as everyone within the Centara family.”

“It is clear that in order for us to maintain our competitive advantage within the international arena, we need to continually innovate and change,” said Thirayuth Chirathivat, CEO of Centara Hotels & Resorts. “Change is a welcomed activity within Centara as it is recognized as a means to innovatively develop and improve. We are excited for the new opportunities that will arise from these appointments and anticipate greater success in the near future.”
