March 21, 2017 8:54am
Avison Young Hospitality Group is pleased to highlight Terry Sanders who is located in Avison Young’s Dallas office.
Sanders, a senior hospitality broker at Avison Young, has more than 20 years of hotel industry experience, and most recently played a key role in the growth of Wyndham Hotel Group’s U.S. portfolio of hotels as senior vice president of development for franchised and managed hotels for U.S. and Western Canada.
He began his career at Wyndham in 2002 and was elevated from franchise sales director to senior vice president in only seven years. While at Wyndham, he was responsible for generating more than $500 million in ongoing franchised and management fees.
Prior to Wyndham, Terry served as a partner at DDS Capital Group where he was a feasibility and development consultant. While at DDS Capital Group, Sanders created feasibility templates for the hospitality, gas station c-store and office industries. He also completed over 50 feasibility studies and loan brokerage packages.
He began his hotel career as a franchise sales director in 1997 with HFS, Inc., which later became Cendant.
“Hiring Terry is probably one of the smartest decisions I ever made,” said Keith Thompson, Principal at Avison Young. “He brings deep understanding of the industry and his honesty and skilled personal approach to the hospitality practice group is unrivaled. Terry is not only a great hotel broker, but he is the kind of person you can build a long-term practice group around.”
