Avison Young Hospitality Group is pleased to highlight Collin Foran and Niven Patel, who are located in the Avison Young Orlando and Tampa offices, respectively.

Foran, a senior hospitality broker, has close to 30 years of hospitality experience, including several key senior positions with industry leaders such as Marriott, Interstate Hotels and Mass Mutual.

Before joining Avison Young, Foran served as vice president of asset management and acquisitions at Cornerstone Real Estate Advisors, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Mass Mutual. While there, he successfully sourced, underwrote and closed on approximately $800 million in institutional grade acquisitions on behalf of the Mass Mutual General Fund. In addition, he oversaw a multi-million dollar portfolio that included Marriott, Hilton, Sheraton as well as a number of independent conference resorts and boutique hotels in the United States and Canada.

Prior to that, Foran amassed over 15 years of experience with Marriott and Interstate Hotels, where he utilized his core fiduciary strengths to turnaround distressed hotels for a number of high profile properties.

Patel, a senior hospitality broker, has more than 13 years of experience in the hospitality real estate industry. He began his real estate career following graduation from high school with an internship at Grubb & Ellis. Following his graduation from University of South Florida, he joined Marcus & Millichap where he was promoted to senior associate and he finished in the top five in the U.S. for hotel brokerage one year.

Patel is a member of the Asian American Hotel Owners Association, where he served as an ambassador for the state of Florida in 2009. He is also member of 13 Ugly Men, a Tampa non-profit organization, where he helps organize events to raise money for local charities, specifically children’s charities and others that fight domestic abuse.

“Collin and Niven have been cornerstones for the hospitality group for many years and both bring impeccable integrity to what we do,” said Keith Thompson, Principal at Avison Young. “They are both very skilled in the hospitality space and I could not be any more proud of them as men, partners, brokers and friends. They have been instrumental to the growth and success of the firm.”
