Hotel Online Special Report

HotelTraining.com Selected by
WorldRes.com

Fort Worth, TX – September 26, 2000 - HotelTraining.com announced today that WorldRes.com has selected HotelTraining.com to provide a training tutorial via the Internet to its client hotels. HotelTraining.com formed a custom training division earlier this year to address the increasing demand for their custom Internet based training platform.  The new division was created to work with vendors and suppliers of hotel-related products and services.

“The creation of a Custom Training Division was the next logical step for us” said Jay Delerno, President of MacDel Inc., d/b/a HotelTraining.com. Mr. Delerno went on to say, “The HITEC Show in 1999 exposed us to a number of inquiries from hotel software and hardware vendors that were seeking low cost, effective, yet timely training solutions they can use to educate hotel employees on how to utilize the products being installed in their hotels.  Staff turnover is still a huge problem and the Internet based training offers vendors a cost effective, consistent, and constant training alternative. A company that wants to deliver their training over the Internet is no longer required to make large capital expenditures to acquire software, develop the training materials as well as hire a staff to address the on going issues of site hosting, maintenance of training materials and technical support.”

The goal of the new division is to work with vendors and suppliers in developing their existing on-site training materials into a complementary, support training option that hotels can access to provide refresher training to existing employees and to train new hires.

An Internet based training program provides access to on-demand training, tracking of each trainee’s progress as well as in-depth reporting for each trainee. The training is provided with an interactive format that includes text, animation, and audio.  Depending on bandwidth delivery options, video may also be incorporated. Performance feedback on training is provided by way instant responses that are given for every answer submitted by a trainee.  Interactive responses to test questions may be in the form of a multiple-choice selection, clickable image selection, or a fill-in-the-blank answer. By providing administrative access to a program, the vendor can review trainee history as well as all corresponding reports.
