On  September 17, 2000 EIG entered into a definitive agreement with Plaza Hotels Associates to open the Executive Pacific Plaza Hotel in downtown Seattle. The 160 room historic hotel located in Seattle�s prestigious hotel district is currently undergoing a $3 million renovation including intricate marble, glass and woodwork to its lobbies and guestrooms and a re-design of the lobby entrance to open on prestigious 4rth Ave.  The project will open as the Executive Pacific Plaza Hotel December 1, 2000; part of the growing Executive Hotels and Resorts premiere lodging chain.

This announcement comes on the heels of a record 58% increase in net earnings for the six months ended July 2000 for EIG as compared to the same period last year and the company being named the Fastest Growing Hotel Chain in Canada for 2000.
