   WATG's Jim Burba Continues as Hospitality Investment Conference Organizer
NEWPORT BEACH, California, October 18, 2000 - Jim Burba, chairman / organizer of some of the world�s most prominent hotel investment conferences, has formed Burba Hotel Network (BHN).  Over the past two decades, and including those in development, Burba has organized 27 hotel investment conferences covering virtually every corner of the globe and every subject matter.  The events have become �must attend� events for those interested in investing in hospitality real estate.  

BHN will plan, organize or produce several upcoming hospitality industry investment conferences which will be held in 2001.  Included on the roster of events is: 

  • the 16th Annual Hotel Industry Investment Conference and 5th Annual Latin America & Caribbean Hotel & Tourism Investment Forum scheduled for January 2001 in Los Angeles, California; 
  • the 5th Annual Caribbean Hotel & Tourism Investment Conference scheduled for April 2001 in Curacao, Netherlands Antilles;  and 
  • the 4th   Annual International Hotel Investment Forum scheduled for March 2001 in Berlin, Germany.
In July, Burba was named Worldwide Director of Advisory Services for Wimberly Allison Tong & Goo (WATG), recognized as the world�s leading planning, design and consulting firm specializing in hospitality, leisure and entertainment, according to World Architecture magazine.  BHN will be headquartered in the Newport Beach, California offices of WATG.  Along with Burba, the BHN team includes Harriet L. Lewis as Director of Conferences and Bob Hayes as Director of Communications and Finance.
