WHITE PLAINS, NY, November 9,2000. ..George Little Management (GLM)
has reached a
five year agreement with five hospitality associations to manage their
Las Vegas International Hotel & Restaurant Show (LVIH&RS), June
21- 22, 2001, at the Las Vegas Convention Center.
With the addition of this annual tradeshow for the lodging and restaurant
industry, GLM’s
managed business roster extends to 10 events nationwide.
Beginning with the June 2001 event, GLM will be responsible for sales,
marketing,
management and operations for the LVIH&RS. Christian Falkenberg,
a senior member of
GLM’s staff and also manager of the GLM- managed lnternational
Hotel/Motel & Restaurant Show (IH/M&RS) will serve as show manager.
The
LVIH&RS will present approximately 350 exhibitors featuring products
and services for lodging, gaming and food serving properties, within 40,000
net square feet of exhibit space at the Las Vegas Convention Center. Some
4,000 attendees, including lodging and gaming chains, franchises, resorts,
casinos, independent, time share and senior care properties; purchasing
and management companies; food & beverage; foodservice equipment and
supplies; architects, designers and consultants are expected to attend.
The event is owned by the American Hotel & Motel Association (AH&MA),
the Hotel Association of New York City (HANYC), Nevada Hotel & Motel
Association (NH&MA), Nevada Restaurant Association (NRA) and New York
State Hospitality & Tourism Association (NYSH&TA).
This agreement is an extension of GLM’s long-standing relationship with
three of the
five association owners. GLM has managed the IH/M&RS, owned by
AH&MA, NYSHTA and HANYC since 1980; and GLM has managed the AH&MA
Annual Conference & Leadership Forum/Lodging Expo, owned by AH&MA
since 1999.
