Wingate Inns Outperforms Mid-market Competitive Set 
in Several Key Indicators as Reported by D.K. Shifflet
PARSIPPANY, NJ (July 17, 2000) - After less than fours years of existence, Wingate Inn® hotels is making its mark on the hotel industry and consumers as the brand outperformed its mid-market segment competitive set in satisfaction, value and service as reported by D.K. According to just released statistics, 74% of all guests rated their satisfaction with the all-new construction brand as good or excellent as compared to only 59% for the overall mid-market segment, while Wingate’s value rating was 74% compared to the segment rating of 54%.  Finally, the brand’s service rating was 64% while the overall mid-market segment was 56%.“
