Group Vice Presidents of Operations at La Quinta Inns; Creates a Structure with Dual Heads of Operations |
| DALLAS - Aug. 9, 2000-- La Quinta Inns, Inc.
has appointed Brent Spaeth and Wayne Goldberg as group vice presidents
of operations. This management change creates a structure with dual heads
of operations emphasizing La Quinta’s commitment to maintaining the consistency
and high-quality operations the hotel chain has come to represent.
Spaeth and Goldberg, who bring more than 45 years of combined hotel operations experience, will lead 19 regional vice presidents in managing the day-to-day operations of the company’s hotels. Spaeth and Goldberg will report to Butch Cash, the company’s CEO.
Brent Spaeth has more than 28 years in the hotel industry and is being promoted after having spent 15 years at La Quinta Inns, Inc., most recently as regional vice president of operations. Prior to his joining La Quinta Inns, Inc., Spaeth acted in managerial and operational roles with several hotel companies including Mid-America Hotels and Holiday Inn. Wayne Goldberg is a 21-year veteran of the hotel industry. Most recently, Goldberg acted as chief operating officer for Bridgestreet Accommodations in Twinsburg, Ohio. Prior to that position, Goldberg spent almost 20 years with Red Roof Inns, Inc. where he began his career as a guest service representative and achieved the position of group vice president of operations. Dallas-based La Quinta Inns, Inc. owns and operates 230 La Quinta® Inns and 70 La Quinta® Inn & Suites in 28 states.
