Undergoing $1.5 Million Renovation |
| YOUNTVILLE-NAPA VALLEY, Calif - April 14, 2000
- A fourteen-year, Four Diamond commitment to guest service was reaffirmed
this month as Vintage Inn-Napa Valley embraced a comprehensive renovation
of the 80-room property that first launched Yountville as a premier destination.
In homage to the “French country” design that earned Vintage Inn international acclaim, the $1.5 million renovation has been dubbed Vintage Inn’s “Renaissance.” Vintage Inn’s opening in 1985 introduced a much-anticipated new property to a then little-known town called “Yountville.” Within a year, the inn had received the AAA Four Diamond Award, a distinction it has carried ever since. Now, fourteen years later, the hamlet of Yountville is hailed as the “Heart of the Napa Valley” and has blossomed into the region’s culinary mecca. Visionary Kipp Stewart’s original architectural design remains classic. The Vintage Inn, with its 80-room village-style room clusters, signature flowing central waterway and serene country garden setting has come to define “escape” for the individual traveler and “retreat” for the smaller conference group. “The final unveiling of our Renaissance, scheduled for Fall 2000, will bring a renewed romantic elegance to every guestroom and public area of Vintage Inn,” says general manager David Shipman. “It represents our commitment of quality and service to many thousands of loyal guests,” he adds.
“Truly, this is a Renaissance that our guests will celebrate!” says Shipman. To ensure that guest comfort and service levels are not compromised, the Renaissance will be executed in eight distinct phases. Vintage Inn’s village-like building clusters allow designers to address one ten-room building at a time. Each building under renovation will remain unoccupied until all work is complete. The Vintage Inn, located at 6541 Washington Street in Yountville-Napa Valley, shares the 23-acre Vintage Estate with its sister properties, the 112-room Villagio Inn Spa and the historic Vintage 1870 specialty shops complex. |
