Paris - January 2000 - Nicolas Boudet has been appointed
Vice President, Development and Acquisitions for Club Med�s North American
Zone. With this appointment, Club Med reaffirms its commitment to
expanding the brand within the American Continent.
Prior to joining Club Med, Nicolas worked in London for the Hospitality
branch of the Real Estate Investment firm Jones Lang LaSalle, and previously,
in the Paris headquarters of Queens Moat Houses plc. He is
a graduate of the Master�s program in Hospitality Administration from Cornell
University and ESSEC�s Business School in Paris.
Club
Mediterranee, S. A., based in Paris, created the all-inclusive vacation
concept in 1950. Today, Club Med is the world�s largest vacation village
organization with one hundred and twenty villages in thirty-six countries
on six continents. In addition, Club Med operates eleven small inns, five
of which are in Mexico.
In the North American Zone, Club Med has fifteen villages: two in the
Antilles, three in the Bahamas, five in Mexico, one in the West Indies,
one in the Dominican Republic, one in the Turks and Caucus, and two (soon
to be three) in the United States. The villages are designed to cater
to children and adults alike, and all offer an array of sports for all
tastes and ages.
The company also operates the �Club Med Two�, a 617-foot luxury, computer-operated
sailing ship, which offers winter cruises in the Caribbean, and summer
cruises in the Mediterranean. Club Med hosted more than 1.5 million
vacationers worldwide last year. Total revenues for 1998 were EEUR
1,278 millions (FRF 8,381) or $1.379 million US (1FF = 0.1645). The
company is listed on the Paris Stock Exchange market since 1966. |
