 EI�s CourseLine Takes Distance Learning Online
 
July 1999�The Educational Institute of the American Hotel & Motel Association (EI) has launched an online version of its popular Distance Learning program.  CourseLine� provides online access 24 hours a day, seven days a week to the same hospitality management courses that leading hotel companies and properties around the world use for their training and continuing education programs. 

The first course available to students over the Internet is Front Office Procedures, the linchpin of EI�s widely recognized certificate of specialization in Rooms Division Management. By month�s end, all five courses in the Rooms Divisions specialization will be online, as will the courses in the Food & Beverage area of specialization. Eventually, all 31 EI hospitality management courses will be available through CourseLine�. Students will be able to earn course certificates, certificates of specialization, the Hospitality Operations Certificate, and the Hospitality Management Diploma. 

Each online course includes competency-based text, links to Internet sites related to course topics, case studies, videos, and online activities. Chapter review quizzes and the final exam are graded within seconds so students can see their results immediately. Students can ask questions about course material by email and participate in threaded discussion forums and interactive chat rooms with other CourseLine� students around the world. 

Prices for CourseLine� courses are $195.00 per course�a savings of $55.00 over EI�s traditional Distance Learning courses.
