| Honolulu, HI (Nov. 30, 1998) - Aaron T. Okinaka has been
appointed director of catering at The Ilikai Hotel Nikko Waikiki. His responsibilities
include all facets of catering administration, including sales and marketing.
"I believe in exceeding expectations, and look forward to bringing personalized service to all of our clients," explains Okinaka. Most recently Okinaka served as director of catering at the Ala Mona Hotel, where he was responsible for the administration and operations of the catering and banquet departments. Okinaka began his career at the Hawaiian Regent Hotel, starting as an assistant restaurant manager in 1978. Over 17 years he served in a variety of capacities, eventually rising to director of catering. "We're pleased to have Aaron join our team," said Kazuo Imai, general manager. "The Ilikai currently has 23 meeting rooms for functions of all proportions. Aaron will help us improve our service and capabilities for each function, whether large or small." Okinaka was born and raised in Honolulu. He is a graduate of lolani School and the University of Hawaii's College of Business Administration. Okinaka, an avid golfer and runner, lives in Waikiki with his wife.
