has been named the world's top spa resort in the 1998 Readers Travel Awards
of Condé Nast Traveller magazine. The hotel received the award
here on Sept. 15 in ceremonies at the Victoria and Albert Museum.
Opened just four years ago, The Banyan Tree Phuket has already won the
"best resort hotel" award from the Pacific Area Travel Association (PATA)
two years in a row, as well as the British Airways "Tourism for Tomorrow"
