MICH - May 2, 2013 – Rex O’Connor is no stranger to Crystal
Mountain. After beginning his career with Crystal in
1993 (as the Tickets & Rental Manager), O’Connor quickly moved into
the
sales department, eventually becoming Senior Sales Manager.
In 2002, O’Connor left Crystal to pursue other opportunities in northern Michigan – all in the hospitality industry including stops at Great Wolf Lodge in Traverse City and Grand Traverse Resort in Acme. O’Connor returns to Crystal’s Group Sales Department representing Crystal’s meeting and conference product in the corporate and association markets. He is a member of the American Society of Association Executives, MI Society of Association Executives and the University Event Planners at University of Michigan. “We are thrilled to welcome Rex back to Crystal Mountain,” said Arah Johnson, Director of Sales. “With his national sales experience and his passion for northern Michigan, he’s the perfect ambassador for Crystal Mountain and Benzie County.” O’Connor is also a member of the Board of the Grand Traverse Regional Community Foundation, and has served in various capacities with the NW Michigan Toys for Tots, Grand Traverse Bay Watershed Center, United Way of NW Michigan, West Michigan Tourist Association and is an alumnus of Leadership Grand Traverse.
