MERRILLVILLE, Ind., May 16, 2013 -- White Lodging (the "Company") is pleased to announce it has executed two new management contracts with RLJ Lodging Trust for the Residence Inn and Courtyard at Houston's Downtown/Convention Center.  The hotels increase the number of management contracts the Company operates in Texas to 37 and also increases the number of contracts with its long-time partner RLJ Lodging Trust to 106.

The two properties will be led by General Manager Ryan Frederick , who has been with White Lodging since 2006. Frederick has served as general manager of a variety of properties in the White Lodging portfolio, most recently leading the team at the Hilton Garden Inn San Francisco Airport, which White Lodging acquired in 2012.

The Residence Inn and Courtyard, housed in the 1921 Humble Oil Building, are located in the heart of Houston's central business district and are within walking distance to Minute Maid Park, the George R. Brown Convention Center and the Theater District.

The hotels are about 20 minutes from William P. Hobby Airport, and a half hour from George Bush Intercontinental Airport. Train and light rail stations are also proximate to the hotels.

Leisure travelers will enjoy that the hotels are within minutes of multiple restaurants, golf courses, theaters and museums. They can spend a day exploring nearby attractions including the Houston Zoo, Kemah Boardwalk and the Space Center Houston. Families can also enjoy the local Children's Museum or check out a rodeo.

The Residence Inn provides complimentary, weekday shuttle service to Minute Maid Park and the convention center, an on-site parking lot and fitness center. Guest may dine at The Bistro®, enjoy evening room service and snacks from the convenience store. The hotel offers 625 sq. ft. of meeting space.  The hotel provides all the comforts of home including complimentary internet, HD television with on-demand videos and complimentary HBO.

The Courtyard also provides complimentary shuttle service within a five-mile radius upon request, a fitness center and a heated outdoor pool. The hotel offers 2,760 sq. ft. of meeting space and an executive boardroom for up to 12 people.
