Greater Miami & The Beaches Hotel Association Honors Hotel Employees
from Miami-Dade County During its 19th Annual Inn Key Awards Luncheon

Miami Beach, FL (May 13, 2013) – Greater Miami & The Beaches Hotel Association (GMBHA), a membership organization comprised of hoteliers and allied members across Miami-Dade County, presented its 19th Annual Inn Key Awards on May 7th, honoring hotels and more than 300 hotel employees in Miami. GMBHA’s President & CEO Wendy Kallergis and Chairman of the Board Raj Singh hosted the award ceremony held at the DoubleTree by Hilton Miami Airport & Convention Center. 
 
“We had our largest Inn Key Awards event ever this year.  More hotels from across Miami-Dade County in different categories participated, further strengthening the GMBHA’s relationship with the hotel community,” said Wendy Kallergis, GMBHA’s President & CEO.
 
The GMBHA’s Inn Key Awards categories ranged from Bellmen and Housekeepers to Culinary and Engineering.  Hotel award categories included Community Service, Diversity in the Workplace, Employee Relations, Guest Relations and Environmental Quality.

This year’s “Lodging Employee of the Year” Awards went to Geno Marron, Bartender, The Ritz-Carlton Key Biscayne (hotel over 200 rooms), and to Alisha Heller, C-Level Hostess, The Clevelander (hotel under 200 rooms).  Hotel winners included MDM Hotel Group, DoubleTree Grand Biscayne Bay, Embassy Suites, W South Beach, The Clevelander, Loews Miami Beach Hotel, DoubleTree by Hilton Miami Airport & Convention Center and Edgewater South Beach.
