ORLANDO,
Fla. (May 31, 2013) — Wyndham Grand Orlando
Resort Bonnet Creek, Orlando’s newest upscale,
Mediterranean-inspired resort, has promoted Matthew Boris to the role
of hotel
manager. Boris, formerly director of operations for the 400-room
property, has
been on staff since the resort’s pre-opening in 2011. He shares more
than 15
years of hospitality experience with the Wyndham Grand Orlando’s
established
team.
Boris’ new role will involve overseeing the resort’s network of teams including guest accommodations and sales and marketing. He will continue to direct day-to-day operations of the resort, overseeing management of guest services, food and beverage, recreational activities, the property’s full-service spa, housekeeping, engineering and security. “We are thrilled to see Matt expand his role on our team, as he has been a key factor in the hotel’s success since opening,” remarked general manager Jurgen Schafers. “Matt’s proven ability to seamlessly drive numerous operating teams and his dynamic capabilities in helping cultivate sales and marketing strategies are testament to his promotion as a key leader for this entire property.” Boris developed his managerial experience with an array of Orlando resorts. Prior to joining the Wyndham Grand Orlando Resort Bonnet Creek team, he held positions as director of operations at the Westin Imagine Orlando, director of guest services at Ginn Reunion Resort Orlando and director of front office operations at Walt Disney World’s Swan and Dolphin Resort. Boris began his hospitality career with an internship in the esteemed Walt Disney World College Program.
