John Owens senior vice president, distribution sales, where he will
focus on developing Pegasus’ core distribution business. The
international sales executive, company veteran and former hotelier will
address the growth of Pegasus’ distribution services, which currently
serve nearly 100,000 hotels globally.
“John has a nine-year history with Pegasus, and has been selling hotels and hospitality services for 25 years. His time with the company has afforded him both a unique understanding of our pivotal role in the distribution landscape, and strong relationships with both hotels and distribution partners,” said David Millili, chief executive officer of Pegasus Solutions. “His dedication translates to getting the job done, which is why we’ve chosen him to handle growing one of our key service lines.” Owens most recently served as senior vice president, global sales for Pegasus, prior to which he was vice president, sales and account management; and director, strategic accounts. Before Pegasus, he was a regional director of sales for TravelClick, and vice president, global business development and sales for Lanyon. At the hotel level, he has held director level positions with Meristar Hotels in Arlington, Tex. and Washington, D.C., American General Hotels Inc. in Dallas, and Marriott Hotels Corporation in Dallas. He started his career with Aston Hotels and Resorts in Honolulu.
