Canada's OPUS Vancouver Completes Renovation of its 96 Guest Rooms

Vancouver, BC (April 8, 2013)
 — Things are getting fresh this spring with the April launch of the recently revamped OPUS Vancouver in Vancouver’s hottest neighbourhood, Yaletown.

Bolder, brighter and just a little bit cheekier, the refreshed rooms in the acclaimed 96-room boutique hotel have been reimagined by Vancouver-based interior designer Robert Bailey, inspired by 1970s designs and the hotel’s five fictional guests.

Meet the muses. There’s Mike, the New Yorker doctor; his room features faux snakeskin headboards and pops of raspberry red décor. Cosmopolitan periwinkle bathes fashion exec Susan’s room but international food critic Pierre prefers a Hermès-orange hue. British rock star Billy goes for retro Liverpool-green décor and dramatic actress Dede has her daring personality drawn all over the walls of her deeply-textured room.

Eclectic sleeping spaces have been splashed with vibrant local artwork from Tiko Kerr’s bold urban Vancouver watercolours to Taizo Yamamoto’s thought-provoking shopping carts, Mark Mizgala’s controversial water pistols. All the senses are awakened at OPUS Vancouver and the new signature scent White Tea and Thyme adds another dimension to the new rooms.

Guests can stay connected with family and friends back home by using the loaded iPad and Samsung Galaxy S3 to roam around the city. Guest rooms come equipped with the two devices; both of which feature complimentary wifi. This cutting-edge technology and the recent playful revamp are testament to the fact that OPUS Vancouver has been named the Trendiest Hotel in Canada and one of the Top 5 Trendiest Hotels in the World.

“Our vision at OPUS Vancouver has always been to provide the best boutique hotel experience in North America,” said Nicholas Gandossi, General Manager. “Guests have always loved the OPUS Vancouver rooms and with this revamp we sought to touch every aspect of the guest experience. From our new signature scent and boutique curated uniforms to the exhilarating launch of our new restaurant, La Pentola della Quercia, our guests will immediately be struck by the changes as they walk through the door.”

To celebrate the newly renovated rooms, OPUS has launched a Facebook contest and will give away 40 free rooms nights to lucky fans and followers. For more information visit: facebook.com/opushotelvancouver.
