News for the Hospitality Executive |
| The property is the third owned by First Hospitality Group (FHG) to incorporate Flyte Systems’ Solutions into its hotel lobby. FHG plans similarly integrated designs for Flyte Systems equipment in other properties. “Our lobby is now airline information-ready, with flight information and boarding pass printing delivered via a strategically located digital signage kiosk,” said Chris Hutchinson, general manager of the Hilton Garden Inn Minneapolis. “Guests are constantly on the go and many have commented on how convenient the FlytePass system is for checking flight status or printing boarding passes.” The FlytePass monitor and keyboard are recessed in a lobby wall in a sleek metal kiosk that matches the contemporary design of the 210-room, 10-story hotel. “Our busy guests appreciate being able to check their flight information and print boarding passes before they depart,” said Hutchinson. “As the closest hotel to the Minneapolis Convention Center and only 12 miles from Minneapolis St. Paul International Airport, the FlytePass is a key amenity for our hotel guests.” What sets Flyte Systems apart from PC-based applications is the ability to post accurate, real-time airline flight arrival and departure information, not FAA-regulated scheduled departure times that do not list delays caused by air traffic control, aircraft maintenance, crew availability and weather.
