| CELEBRATION, Fla.— July 20, 2005 - The Celebration, Fla.-based Hayes
Reid Development Group Inc. is announcing The Palms Hotel and Villas as
the first condo hotel in the Orlando-Disney area. The Palms Hotel
and Villas, which was purchased as a three-star, all-suite resort hotel
and converted, is the first of many condo hotels coming to the area under
the direction of Hayes Reid Development Group Inc.
The Palms Hotel and Villas is managed on a daily basis by Hotel Condo Services LLC, a leading management company that specializes in the transition of hotels to condo hotels. Many members of the pre-transition hotel staff have remained in place to coordinate the change and direct the property’s operations. “It is very exciting to be involved in the first condo hotel in the Disney area,” said Mark Manring, Director of Operations for Hotel Condo Services. “This trend is beginning to sweep the hospitality industry and we’re proud to be on the cutting edge!” The Palms Hotel and Villas will be a premier member of the Lexington Collection by Vantage. The Lexington Collection will be an upscale, all-suite brand from Vantage Hospitality Group Inc., which also has Americas Best Value Inn, the fastest growing hotel chain in America. The
Palms Hotel and Villas is a 156-unit property located at 3100 Parkway Blvd.,
in Kissimmee. A $2.5 million renovation has been completed recently
to enhance the beauty of the property. The Palms Hotel and Villas, a Walt
Disney World Good Neighbor Hotel, is only 1.5 miles from the entrance to
the Walt Disney World Resort Area and offers newly renovated two-room suites
with kitchens equipped with full-size refrigerators, two-burner stovetops,
microwaves, toasters, dishwashers and cooking/eating utensils. The
Palms also offers its guests two pools, a Jacuzzi, an exercise room and
a daily complimentary continental breakfast.
