Cara T. Okawa Appointed VP Sales and Revenue
Management for Aqua Hotels & Resorts

HONOLULU, Hawaii – Aqua Hotels & Resorts has announced the appointment of Cara T. Okawa as Vice President Sales and Revenue Management.  In her new role, Okawa will be responsible for the global sales and revenue management efforts for the company’s five Waikiki condotel properties and reports directly to Mike Paulin, Aqua’s chairman and CEO.

Okawa brings over 17 years of hospitality sales experience to Aqua, most recently serving as Director of Sales – Waikiki for Aston ResortQuest Hawaii.  Prior to her employment with Aston, Okawa was Assistant Vice President of Sales at Castle Resorts & Hotels and held sales positions at The Bay Club at Waikoloa Beach Resort and Hilton Hotels in Hawaii.

“We’re very fortunate and excited to have Cara join our team,” said Mike Paulin.  “She has the experience and relationships that are invaluable in our industry.  Her sales and marketing knowledge as well as her understanding of the Hawaii product are central to developing new travel partnerships for our upgraded product line.”

Aqua recently announced their enhanced brand approach which includes key amenities and services – AquaSpa, AquaFit, AquaFresh, AquaKit, AquaConnect, AquaStart and AquaPromise – that energize their facilities, increase value and add to guest comfort and satisfaction.  “Cara will be instrumental in bringing our new Aqua brand message to customers as well as introducing new properties that are added to our product line in the future,” commented Paulin.

Okawa graduated from Leeward Community College.  She is a member of the Hawaii Hotels Sales & Marketing Association and served on the Oahu Visitors Bureau marketing committee.  Okawa also volunteers for the American Cancer Society.
