Orient-Express Hotels Ltd Appoints New Execs
at European and North American Properties

LONDON (February 25, 2005) � Orient-Express Hotels Ltd has announced several new appointments at its European and North American properties, including new management for its three latest properties in, St. Petersburg, Ravello and Santa Barbara.

Thomas Noll has been appointed General Manager of the Grand Hotel Europe in St Petersburg.   This 301-room landmark property was recently acquired by the company on February 10, 2005. In Italy, Giampaolo Ottazzi has been appointed General Manager of the Hotel Caruso in Ravello, due to open in June 2005; Franco Girasoli has been appointed Hotel Manager of the Villa San Michele in Florence and Andrea Filippi has been appointed Regional Director of Sales and Marketing for Orient-Express Hotels four Italian properties.  In Santa Barbara, California, Clive O�Donoghue has been appointed General Manager of El Encanto Hotel & Garden Villas.

Thomas Noll joins Orient-Express Hotels from the Corinthia Nevskij Palace Hotel in St. Petersburg, where he was General Manager for over 3½ years.  During his tenure at the Nevskij Palace, the hotel changed ownership and it was Noll�s task to ensure the transition and rebranding of the hotel was handled effectively. Noll was brought to Russia by Starwood Hotels & Resorts from their property in Egypt, the Sharm El Sheikh Hotel, Resort and Villas, where he also was General Manager, responsible for opening the hotel and establishing it as the best in the region. 

Giampaolo Ottazzi has worked several years at the Hotel Splendido, Portofino in different positions and was recently managing The Hotel Continental and the Park Hotel in Siena. His career also includes significant experience with Starwood and the Villa d'Este Group.

Franco Girasoli started at the Villa San Michele in 1986 and has been Deputy Manager since 1994 and will now be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the hotel.

Andrea Filippi has been appointed Regional Director of Sales and Marketing, Italy, effective from  January 20, 2005. He will manage Orient-Express Hotels� Italian portfolio:  the Hotel Splendido, Hotel Cipriani, the Villa San Michele and the Hotel Caruso worldwide. Trained at the Hotel Splendido, Filippi has gained a wealth of experience in the luxury market in key sales and marketing positions with major groups such as Starwood, Hyatt and Four Seasons, where he served for over ten years.

Clive O�Donoghue was appointed General Manager of El Encanto Hotel & Garden Villas in Santa Barbara in November 2004 and took up the position in January 2005.  Orient-Express Hotels acquired the hotel in November 2004 and has plans for a 6-month project to totally renovate the property.  Previously Assistant General Manager of another Orient-Express Hotel, the Windsor Court Hotel, Clive joined the company in 2001 from the Four Seasons Hotel in Austin, Texas, where he was Executive Assistant Manager, promoted from food and beverage operations at the Four Seasons Resort & Club in Dallas.  Prior to this Clive co-owned the award-winning Dallas restaurant, Actuelle, which was twice named one of America�s top fifty restaurants by Condé Nast Traveler magazine.
