Institute of the American Hotel & Lodging Association has compiled
a Food & Beverage training DVD featuring three complete programs on
a single disk.
The DVD includes the following titles:

"Smart Service for Great Banquets." This 22-minute program
is designed to educate and encourage banquet servers to deliver the kind
of service required to achieve maximum profitability in the high-revenue
banquet business.

"Room Service." This 24-minute program shows servers
and order takers how to exceed guests' needs at the order taking and service
stages of the room service process. Viewers will learn how to guide
guests through a menu, ensure accuracy when taking orders, and provide
efficient and courteous service.

"FastTrack Food Safety Essentials." This 23-minute program
offers an overview of important food safety principles that every employee
must know in order to prevent an outbreak of foodborne illness at their
operation. Viewers will learn six crucial guidelines for combating foodborne
illness and better understand their food safety responsibilities.
The three-program DVD is available for $300 for AH&LA members ($375
for non- members). Each of the three titles included in the DVD package
is also available individual on DVD, for the same price as the videotape
