 Rollout of Crowne Plaza's Holistic Approach
to the Entire Sleep Environment Completed

ATLANTA, Oct. 21, 2004 - In response to consumer demand for its recently introduced bedding collection, Crowne Plaza Hotels & Resorts now offers its duvet covers, down pillows and other posh bedding items for sale online.
 
The move follows the successful rollout of the Crowne Plaza Sleep Advantage, an industry-leading approach to ensure that guests -- business travelers in particular -- experience a good night's sleep.

"The introduction of the program was greeted with great success and the demand by consumers for the Crowne Plaza bedding was immediate," said Kevin Kowalski, vice president of brand management for Crowne Plaza Hotels & Resorts.

introduced in May, encompasses the entire sleep experience, from training staff on how to create and maintain a restful environment to providing innovative products and services. Program components include the bedding now for sale, guaranteed wake-up calls, designated quiet zones, night lights, drape clips, sleep CDs, eye masks, ear plugs and lavender spray.

"Our first priority was to get the entire program, including the new bedding, rolled out in all of our hotels.  Now that implementation is complete, we are delighted to continue to look after guests' needs and ensure they get a good night's rest 365 days a year by enjoying Crowne Plaza bedding in their own homes," Kowalski said.

The Crowne Plaza Sleep Advantage, including the bedding components, was developed by Crowne Plaza in collaboration with Michael Breus, Ph.D., one of the nation's foremost sleep-disorder experts.

Some 40 percent of adults report that lack of good sleep interferes with their daily activities. Lost sleep costs $45 billion a year in lost productivity, increased health-care bills and expenses related to traffic accidents. The Crowne Plaza Sleep Advantage addresses sleep deprivation by creating an environment conducive to consistent, sound sleep.

Bedding products for sale include duvet inserts and covers, synthetic and feather/down sleep pillows, Euro pillow shams and inserts, cotton blankets, mattress toppers, dust skirts, flat and fitted bed sheets, decorative pillows, pillow cases and the Serta(R) Perfect Sleeper.  Prices range from $31 for standard sleep pillows to $1,300 for California King-size mattress and box spring sets.
