  Hyatt International Appoints Six to Executive Posts

Chicago, IL, November 9, 2004  - Mr. Bernd Chorengel, president of Hyatt International Corporation, is pleased to announce the following executive appointments:

Christian Le Prince is appointed general manager of Hyatt Regency Casablanca.  Le Prince, a graduate of the University of Law in Paris, joined Hyatt International in December 1983 as general manager of Hyatt Regency Brussels, and in May 1985 was promoted to general manager of Grand Hyatt Melbourne.  He left Hyatt International in October 1988, and subsequently held further management/consulting positions in France, the United States and Portugal.  Le Prince rejoined the company in January 1998 as general manager of Hotel Villa Magna, a Park Hyatt Hotel. 

Stephen Radcliffe is appointed general manager of Bali Hyatt. Radcliffe, a graduate of Hollings Catering College in Manchester, England gained extensive food and beverage management experience in the United Kingdom and Dubai before joining the team of Hyatt Regency Birmingham as conference and banqueting manager in August 1990.  Following further assignments in food and beverage management in Macau, Cheju, and Surabaya, he was appointed director of Food and Beverage for Grand Hyatt Erawan Bangkok in January 2000, where he was subsequently promoted to executive assistant manager   Food and Beverage in January2002.  Radcliffe was appointed executive assistant manager   Food and Beverage for Grand Hyatt Jakarta in July 2002.

Franck Sibille is appointed manager of Hotel Villa Magna, a Park Hyatt Hotel. Sibille, a graduate of the University of Denver in the United States and the University of Grenoble in France, joined the team of Grand Hyatt Hong Kong in June 1991 as a management trainee. Following assignments in various Rooms Management positions for Hyatt Regency Paris-Charles de Gaulle, he was appointed front office manager for Hyatt Regency Riyadh in March 1995, where he was subsequently promoted to director of business development.   In November 1998, Sibille returned to Europe as director of rooms for Hyatt Regency Casablanca where in January 1999, he was promoted to executive assistant manager   Rooms.  In March 2001, he was appointed executive assistant manager for Hyatt Regency Paris-Charles de Gaulle, and in June 2002 to his most recent position of executive assistant manager Marketing for Hotel Villa Magna. 

Malcolm Thompson is appointed general manager of Park Hyatt Los Angeles.  Thompson, a graduate of the University of London, joined the team of Hyatt Regency Sydney in April 1984 where he held various management positions before being promoted to director of food and beverage in September 1987.  He was appointed executive assistant manager of Hyatt Regency Coolum in August 1989, and was subsequently promoted general manager of Hyatt Regency Sydney in September 1993, and Hyatt Hotel Canberra, a Park Hyatt Hotel in May 1995.  Thompson held his most recent position of general manager of Park Hyatt Tokyo since June 1998.

Jan Peter Van der Ree his been appointed general manager of Park Hyatt Saigon.  Van der Ree, a graduate of The Hague Hotel School, consolidated his studies with management assignments in the United Kingdom, Holland and Indonesia, before joining the food and beverage team of Hyatt Regency Cologne in March, 1988 where he was subsequently promoted to assistant director of Food and Beverage in November 1990.  In August 1992, he was appointed director of Food and Beverage for Hyatt Regency Tianjin, and in August 1993 to general manager of Hyatt Regency Cheju.  In November 1996, Van der Ree returned to Europe as manager of Hyatt Regency Cologne where he was promoted to general manager in September 1997.

Ratnesh Verma has been appointed area director South Asia in addition to his responsibilities as Area Director of Finance.  Verma, a graduate of the University of New Delhi joined the team of Hyatt Regency Delhi in July 1991 as assistant director of Finance where he was promoted to director of Finance in September 1993.  In August 1996 he joined the Internal Audit Team for the Asia Pacific Division, and held subsequent assignments as director of Finance for Grand Hyatt Fukuoka and Grand Hyatt Delhi.  In January 1999 Verma was given additional regional responsibilities in New Delhi and in May 2002 was appointed to most recent position of area director of Finance for South Asia.

There are 214 Hyatt hotels and resorts around the world, which are managed by two separate groups of companies.  Subsidiaries of Hyatt International Corporation operate, manage or franchise 90 hotels and resorts in 39 countries, with an additional 24 hotels under development.  Hyatt Corporation, a separate company, and its subsidiaries operate, manage, franchise or lease 124 hotels and resorts in the United States, Canada and the Caribbean.
