DALLAS - Jul. 06, 2004 - Rosewood Hotels & Resorts, the premier manager of ultra-luxury hotels and resorts throughout the world, is proud to announce that Alphy Johnson and Brian Young have both been promoted to Vice Presidents of Operations. Young will be responsible for overseeing the operations of Rosewood's resort properties, working in tandem with Johnson, who will be responsible for Rosewood's urban hotels.

Alphy Johnson began his career in 1980 as the first Hotel Manager of The Mansion on Turtle Creek. Johnson quickly climbed the ranks at other Rosewood properties as well as within the Rosewood Corporate Office. After gaining experience with Nikko Hotels International in California and Westin Hotels and Resorts in Asia, Alphy returned to Rosewood as Vice President of Rooms, where he was responsible for setting the quality standards for all aspects of the property's operations. Most recently, Johnson acted as Regional Vice President-Middle East, where he oversaw the management of Hotel Al Faisaliah Hotel and Residences and Hotel Al Khozama in Saudi Arabia.

"Johnson has a wealth of experience in the luxury market and within Rosewood Hotels & Resorts. I am confident he will support Rosewood Hotels & Resorts in our continuing mission to provide guests with the world-class service that is synonymous with the Rosewood name," stated John Scott, President & CEO of Rosewood Hotels & Resorts.

Brian Young is the Former Managing Director for Rosewood's legendary resort, Caneel Bay. Immediately prior to joining Rosewood Hotels & Resorts, Brian oversaw the successful re-opening and repositioning of The Metropolitan Hotel in Vancouver. His extensive experience in luxury resort operations also includes Cap Juluca Hotel in Anguilla where he was Managing Director and successfully positioned the property as one of the Caribbean's top resorts. Prior to Cap Juluca, Brian spent 15 years with Four Seasons, opening the Four Seasons Resort Nevis and the Four Seasons Santa Barbara, as well as holding senior positions at several of Four Seasons' city hotels. Brian's resort background, coupled with his opening experience and knowledge of Rosewood, makes him an ideal addition to our corporate operations team.

"Brian has been a part of the Rosewood team since 1999 achieving outstanding results for Caneel Bay," said Mr. Scott. "We look forward to leveraging his talents to benefit all of our world-class resorts."
