.

01 Aug 2004 - Dubai -  Taj Palace Hotel Dubai is well on its way as it turns another year older. Three years ago on June 20th, Taj Palace Dubai became the ninth premium property of the Indian Hotels Company under its Taj International Luxury brand. It was the first time ever for a five star Dubai hotel to open with a unique no-alcohol concept. That same year, a market survey rated the hotel as having the largest rooms in the city at 61 square meters (with balcony). Currently, the Taj Palace Hotel Dubai remains to be unmatched retaining the same profile, whilst, continuously delivering excellent business results giving competitors a run for their money.

GM Yannick Poupon exclaimed, Despite the fierce competition in the hospitality industry, Taj Palace Dubai has managed to wrestle the hurdles. Our continued optimism towards a brighter business ahead given our current regional situation has helped us focus our attention towards achieving highly our visions and delivering our committed objectives for both our owners and managing company.

With robust business from previous months, Taj Palace Hotel Dubai has averaged 95% hotel occupancy since January this year. It is the only five star city hotel that garnered a rare achievement of having 44 days successive perfect 100% daily occupancy from July 30 to Sept 14th in 2003.  This summer, Taj Palace Dubai leads the competitive set with the highest RevPar average amongst other five star city hotels. The past seven months saw the Taj Palace Dubai realizing its budget

objective for year-to-date. Thanks to the growing tourist arrival in Dubai where the hotel grabbed a better slice of the tourist market. It is looking at continuously strategizing its position in order to up its earning position as expected. Emerging new markets like South Africa and Russia are part locations of the future roadshows the hotel is planning to participate this quarter. With 271 hotels in Dubai challenging for business share; competition has just gotten fiercer each time. This years outlook aims to surpass 2003s stellar performance brought about by the busy IMF and World Bank Meetings followed by the Dubai Airshow..

Despite being the only five star hotel with a no-alcohol concept Taj Palace Dubai constantly remains a top favorite amongst leisure and business travelers to Dubai. It is raved amongst tour operators and travel agents being the only hotel in Dubai with the largest room at 61 square meters with balcony; considering all room comes with a private balcony for the guests, plus, the only one having the finest hotel spa offering modern Ayurvedic and popular spa massages from Far East and Europe.
