MEMPHIS, Tenn., April 19, 2004 � Hampton, the national brand of more than 1,250 mid-priced Hampton Inn® and Hampton Inn & Suites® hotels, today announced that it opened 14 Hampton hotels in the first quarter of 2004, representing 1,196 new rooms.* The fourteen 14 openings, including the brand�s fifteenth property in Canada, consist of eight Hampton Inn hotels and six Hampton Inn & Suites hotels. "Another milestone was reached for the Hampton brand last quarter with the opening of our fifteenth property in Canada," said Phil Cordell, senior vice-president, Hampton brand management. "We are also excited about the progress that the brand has made this year with design and construction.
