 Shaun Robinson Named General Manager of the 221-room Doubletree® Hotel San Diego/Del Mar
BEVERLY HILLS, Calif., March 11, 2004 � Shaun Robinson has been named general manager of the 221-room Doubletree® Hotel San Diego/Del Mar.  Robinson most recently served as general manager of the Hilton Scottsdale Resort & Villas in Arizona, a position he has held since January 2001.  

With a history in the hospitality industry that spans more than two decades, Robinson began his career at a hotel restaurant in Cornwall, England.  In 1984, he moved to the United States, joined Hilton one year later and served as assistant director of catering and director of catering at Hilton properties in Irvine, Calif.; San Diego and Minneapolis during a period of nine years.  Robinson returned to Southern California in 1994 as director of catering for The Beverly Hilton and was promoted to executive assistant manager and resident manager at the world-renowned hotel, before moving to Scottsdale in 2001.

Robinson received several accolades during his tenure as general manager of the AAA Four-Diamond Hilton Scottsdale Resort & Villas, where under his direction the property received two of the top awards in the company � the 2001 Hilton Pride Award for customer satisfaction and the Connie Award for best overall performance by a Hilton resort in 2002 AND 2003. 

The Doubletree Hotel San Diego/Del Mar is just 15 miles from downtown San Diego, Mission Bay near the intersection of Interstate 5 and Highway 52.
