| MCLEAN, Va., Jan. 21, 2004 - Dave Durbin, President and CEO, Crestline
Hotels & Resorts, Inc., today announced the promotion of Vicki Denfeld
to Senior Vice President, Sales & Marketing, for Crestline Hotels &
Resorts. In Ms. Denfeld's expanded role she will continue to report
directly to Mr. Durbin, as she leads the development and implementation
of the sales and marketing function for each of Crestline Hotels &
Resorts' managed hotels, as well as for Barcelo Crestline.
Ms. Denfeld joined Crestline Hotels and resorts in 2002, following a 20 year management career in hospitality sales and marketing. Ms. Denfeld began her career with New York Airlines, spent 10 years with The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company in various sales and marketing management positions, and has also held management positions at the Miraval Resort in Tucson, AZ, and for KSL Resorts. "Since Vicki has joined Crestline she has made a tremendous contribution in helping our hotels achieve excellence in sales and marketing," said Dave Durbin. "Vicki has positively impacted revenue for both our brand portfolio, as well as our non-branded independent hotels. We are delighted to announce her promotion." Ms. Denfeld holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Furman University in Greenville, SC. She is an active member of Marriott's Franchise Marketing Communications Advisory Council.
