PROVIDENCE, R.I. - Jan. 12, 2004 -- Officials of The Procaccianti Group
(TPG), a New England-based, full-service, privately owned hotel ownership,
management and construction company, today announced that it has named
three new vice presidents to further strengthen its management expertise:
Scot Hamilton, vice president, sales and marketing; Christopher Dixon,
vice president, food & beverage; and Lisa Hugo, vice president, human
resources.
"Each of these individuals has a proven track record in hospitality management and will play key roles in our continued aggressive expansion," said Elizabeth Procaccianti, Chief Operations Officer. "We've added six properties in the past year and believe now is the perfect time for TPG to take advantage of the economic cycle and further increase its hotel portfolio. These key additions to our team will not only give us the bench strength to expand, but will also help us achieve better returns at our existing properties." A 22-year hospitality veteran, Scot Hamilton will direct all aspects of TPG's sales and marketing efforts, including developing sales strategies and marketing plans, revenue management, establishing sales goals and building hotel sales teams. Prior to joining TPG, he held a number of sales positions within the industry, culminating with vice president of sales, luxury independent hotels, for Interstate Hotel Company. Christopher Dixon will be responsible for all F&B operations at the company's 21 owned and managed hotels, which will include developing new restaurant concepts, keeping menus on the cutting edge and maintaining service standards. He brings with him 24 years of F&B and operations experience and has worked with such national brands as Marriott, Hilton, Sheraton, Hampton Inn and Homewood Suites by Hilton. Lisa Hugo will be responsible for overseeing the human resources division, with tasks ranging from compensation and benefits programs and recruitment strategies to associate relations and legal compliance. During her 20-year career, she has held a variety of positions within the industry, including director of human resources for Marriott and Hilton properties and several independent hotels. Founded in 1958, The Procaccianti Group is a full-service, privately owned, real estate company that acquires, manages and rehabilitates full-service hotels. The company is engaged in hotel and commercial property acquisitions, property management and construction. The Procaccianti Group is ranked among the top 50 hotel owner/operators in the country. |
