Omni Los Angeles Hotel at California Plaza Earns
Prestigious Four Diamond Award from the
American Automobile Association
-
LOS ANGELES, CA (October 15, 2003) It was announced yesterday that the Omni Los Angeles Hotel at California Plaza has received the prestigious Four Diamond Award for 2004 from the American Automobile Association.  The Omni is one of only two downtown Los Angeles hotels to receive this distinctive honor.
"The AAA Four Diamond status represents a profound effort and extraordinary accomplishment by a hotel.  It's a demonstration of the hotel's ability to consistently perform grand and small gestures with superior service and high quality, including during extensive inspections," said Auto Club's Approved Accommodations Manager Charles Smith.

Located across the street from the world renowned Walt Disney Hall, the Omni Los Angeles Hotel has one of the premier locations in downtown Los Angeles.  As part of California Plaza, the Omni is adjacent to the Museum of Contemporary Art and within walking distance of the Mark Taper Forum, the Ahmanson Theater, the Cathedral of Our Lady of Angeles, and such culturally diverse neighborhoods as Chinatown, Little Tokyo, Olvera Street and Koreatown.

Every one of our 250 associates is extremely happy to have achieved the coveted Four Diamond designation from AAA, said Omni Hotels Area Managing Director Jim Snow.  For all of us, this designation is truly the affirmation of the tremendous amount of work and effort that our associates have poured into making this the diamond on Bunker Hill.

The Omni Los Angeles Hotels has 453 finely-appointed guest rooms and suites featuring spectacular views of Bunker Hill and California Plaza.  The basic amenities included in each room are quite extensive and include, plush terry cloth robes, triple sheeting on beds, dual line phones, complimentary high-speed wireless Internet access, modem hook-up,  and a LodgeNet system featuring movies and Nintendo 64 ® video games.

Most recently, the Omni Los Angeles Hotel opened Chef Robert Gadsbys restaurant, Noé.  Located on the third level of the Omni Hotel, Noé is an elegant and intimate 70-seat room with a sensational patio shared with California Plaza.  Los Angeles Times food critic S. Irene Virbilas review of Noé cites the alluring newcomer to the downtown scene as a valid additionIf downtown can attract and keep more chefs as capable as Gadsby, it may well be the beginning of a dining renaissance.
